Reminder of Need to Review Wind Turbine Guidance | 17 Mar 2010

Environmental Protection UK has written to Lord Hunt requesting a response to our letter of 26th November, which stated the factual case for a review of the guidance used for assessing wind turbine noise.

We pointed out that our arguement for a review of the ETSU-R-97 guidance has been recently reinforced by the recent upholding of an appeal in Bradford, which found that the application of the guidance gave inadequate protection to potential neighbours of a proposed turbine.

We asked Lord Hunt to seriously consider the points we raised with a view to setting in motion a re-examination of the guidance.
