National Students and Young Professionals Competition 2010 | 17 Mar 2010

Environmental Protection UK has opened entries for the National Students and Young Professionals Competition 2010.

The competition, which is coordinated by the South West Division, is open to any young professionals throughout the UK (e.g. post-graduate students, consultants, local authority officers etc) working on any aspect of air quality, noise, contaminated land, climate change or other environmental issue relevant to Environmental Protection UK's work.

Entrants need to send an abstract on their (500 words maximum) to Peter Fryer, Environmental Protection UK South West Division Secretary, c/o CREATE Centre, Smeaton Road, Bristol, BS1 6XN or email peter.fryer@bristol.gov.uk

Shortlisted entrants will then be sent full details and invited to attend a Presentation Day on Tuesday 13th July 2010 where they will be asked to make a short presentation in a friendly, informal environment.

In addition, the winner will be invited to present their work at the South West Division Annual Conference, which will take place on 12th October 2010, where the prize will be officially presented.

• Entrants must be no older than 30 years old on the date of the event.
• Entries to be received no later than Tuesday 22nd June 2010.
• Selected participants will be notified by Tuesday 29th June 2010
• The Young Professionals Presentation Day will take place at UWE on 13th July 2010 (provisionally 11am – 15.30pm). Lunch will be provided for all who attend.
