Defra Launches New LAQM Web Pages | 1 Jul 2010

Defra has added new Local Air Quality Management webpages to its main website.

The new site, http://www.defra.gov.uk/environment/quality/air/airquality/local/index.htm, replaces three older, separate websites: http://www.airquality.co.uk/laqm/laqm.php, http://www.uwe.ac.uk/aqm/review/and http://www.laqmsupport.org.uk/.

Defra has provided the following links to help re-direct those who used the older sites:

• LAQM homepage
• Guidance– Policy and technical guidance, practice guidance and lots of other useful guidance for LAQM.
• Helpdesks– contacts details for email or phone support for LAQM.
• FAQs– useful information grouped by subject area
• Review and Assessment– example reports, checklists and useful information.
• Action Planning– example reports, checklists, useful information on measures and best practice.
• Tools– including background maps, NOx/NO2 calculator, Biomass calculator, Emissions Factor Toolkit, VCM, DMRB and more.
• AQMAs– maps of AQMAs and lists of which councils have declared.
• Report Submission Website– for Updating and Screening Assessments and Progress Reports.
