Volunteering - Summer Projects

Alongside our team of paid staff we also have a team of volunteers who support our fundraising, marketing, policy and administration activities.

We are currently seeking volunteers to carry out noise and land quality policy research projects over the summer at our head office in Brighton.

Divisional Secretary

Environmental Protection UK seeks a volunteer Divisional Secretary for the following region:

  • West Midlands

Divisional Secretaries are able to attend our events and conferences free of charge – worth over £3,000 per year. Other benefits for you and your organisation include:

  • Access to experts and information
  • Additional training
  • Development of knowledge
  • National and local networking
  • Mentoring and peer support
  • Continuing Professional Development

Individual members can become Divisional Secretaries. If you are employed, your employer does not have to be a member.

The role involves facilitating divisional meetings and being a point of contact for local members. A divisional secretary will normally have

  • Some knowledge of environmental protection issues
  • Admin experience
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Access to a computer, email and phone.

Out of pocket expenses are covered by Environmental Protection UK
