Neighbourhood Nuisance
Lights from car park intruding on rural surroundings
Whether our neighbourhood is in the city, town or a rural area, the quality of our local environment has an impact on our quality of life. There are a number of local environmental pollutants that are classified as nuisance - that is they can cause harm to health or a nuisance. These are managed by the local authority environmental health services and include unwanted light, bonfires and noise. Nuisance can come from domestic and commercial premises. We are working to ensure that nuisance laws are properly enforced and that adequate guidance is available on their application.
