Our Noise Pollution Work
Our Noise Pollution programme aims to promote integrated policies and practices that encourage the effective management and control of noise.
Through our noise committee we work:
- To maintain and increase the profile of noise in UK policy making
- To encourage the effective management and control of noise
- To maintain and increase the profile of noise in European and international policy making
- To encourage the development and implementation of appropriate and workable legislation and guidance
Our activities include:
- Building Partnerships

- Lobbying
- Producing Guidance
- Providing Training Events
- Providing Information Resources
- Raising Awareness - including coordinating Noise Action Week
Our work is coordinated through our Ambient Noise Committee and Neighbourhood Noise Committee.
