Legacies

Making a will is the best way you can be sure of what happens to your estate and belongings after your death. A will offers you the peace of mind of knowing that your family and friends will be taken care of. It can also be a positive opportunity to make a lasting difference by leaving a charity legacy.

Why should I leave a charity legacy to Environmental Protection UK?

With the increase in concern in environmental issues and climate change, the work we do has become increasingly important. By choosing to make a gift to us in your will, you will be making a valuable contribution to help ensure our work continues
long into the future.

What type of charity legacy can I leave in my will?

There are three types of charity legacy you can leave:

  • A Residual gift – this is when you bequeath the remainder from your estate after all other bequests and costs have been deducted
  • A Pecuniary gift – when you wish to leave a specific sum of money
  • A Percentage of your estate – specifying your gift to be a percentage of your estate for example specifying 5% would mean for a £20,000 estate the bequest would provide a gift of £1,000
