UK - DMUG
The UK Dispersion Model Users Group (UK- DMUG) is jointly facilitated by Environmental Protection UK and the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM), and provides an independent forum for discussion and exchange of information for all air dispersion model users involved in innovative modelling and model development at local, national and international levels.
The broad aims of the group are to:
- Improve the performance of available air dispersion models by influencing model developments, in accordance with the needs of the modelling community.
- Foster the improvement of dispersion modelling techniques through improvements in communications and dissemination within the user community.
The group was formed from an initial meeting of air pollution dispersion modellers and events are held each year for local authorities, consultants, academics and policy developers to help them understand the theory and application of models and to drive model development.
