Scotland
About us
Environmental Protection UK – Scotland brings together local authorities, environmental regulators, industry, consultants, academic institutions, health agencies, legal firms and individuals with experience in environmental protection.
The Scottish Division promotes the aims of the UK organisation and provides a forum for members in Scotland to discuss national issues and concerns and ensure that these are taken into account at the UK level.
We have three advisory groups that focus on our three remits of land quality, air quality and noise. The Advisory Groups are made up of Environmental Protection UK members and chosen from local authorities, consultants, Scottish Government, academia and SEPA.
The Divisional Secretary, PR/Admin Manager and Policy Officer attend all Advisory Group meetings. Representation on the National Committees is usually by the Chairs, an appointed member or the Policy Officer.
Members have the opportunity to:
- Attend regular Divisional meetings
- Become active on our Advisory Group
- Access local activities and networks
- Attend conference, seminars and training workshops
- Contribute to the debate on environmental issues
- Attend the Divisional AGMs
Environmental Protection UK – Scotland is based in an office at Glasgow City Council and employs a part time Admin/PR Manager and Policy Officer. Scottish activities are managed by the Executive Committee which is elected at the Division's Annual General Meeting.
