Environmental Protection beyond 2013: delivering environmental improvements in times of austerity
Aston University, Birmingham – Thursday 24 October 2013
A one-day conference to explore how local and national organisations are dealing with the current environmental challenges and seeking cost effective solutions.
These are challenging times for local authorities, environment agencies and other bodies involved in delivering improvements in environmental quality for UK residents. Finances are constrained for services across the public sector, including for environmental protection. This makes it all the more important that environmental protection priorities are clear and that remedies for environmental problems are as cost effective as possible.
The Autumn Conference will focus on the new challenges for EPUK, its members and partner organisations as they work to improve the UK environment in times of economic stringency. There will be expert presentations with discussion of current and emerging challenges and potential cost effective solutions, opportunities for exchanging experiences and networking, an exhibition and a closing reception.
